Fredonia Place employee wins drawing for TV

Three Fredonia Place employees achieved perfect attendance during the first quarter of this year, qualifying them to win a 32-inch flat screen TV.

Management at the region’s premier senior living community challenged all hourly employees to work a full quarter with perfect attendance. Nick George, a cook, and housekeepers Pam Thomas and Wendy Riewaldt achieved perfect attendance for the first quarter. George won the TV drawing while New York state lottery scratch-off tickets were presented to Thomas and Riewaldt.

Located at 50 Howard St., Fredonia Place provides assisted living, memory care and respite services to nearly 80 community residents.

“There is no entry fee to the life you deserve,” said Fredonia Place Administrator Jeremy D’Amaro. “Your monthly rent is all-inclusive for the many services we provide to our residents.”

These services include: all three meals, daily snacks, all utilities (local and long distance telephone, cable television, baseboard heat, air conditioning and electricity) resident activities and outings, transportation to medical appointments, shopping shuttle, medication assistance, personal care (if needed), nightly resident checks, maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, emergency pendants and pull cords, high-speed Internet, religious services, 24-hour staffing and much more.

Fredonia Place also coordinates and accepts the Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit Program through the Veterans Administration for wartime veterans (and their widows) of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and more recent conflicts.
