Local landscaping, gardening businesses get new name

With everyone’s anxious anticipation of spring this year comes some new and exciting news. Two long-established businesses are growing and improving with a name change this season.

Mancuso’s Garden Center and Mancuso’s Lawn Care are now Greener Gardens and North County Landscaping. Owners Jill Purol (Greener Gardens) and Joel Biscaro (North County Landscaping) are excited about moving forward with their businesses which were founded by Samuel Mancuso in 1986.

Biscaro is in his 13th year of providing quality and affordable lawn care and landscaping service to the Northern Chautauqua County community. He prides himself on meeting or exceeding people’s expectations and making their yards manageable and beautiful. His extensive service includes residential and commercial lawn and landscape maintenance, landscape design and installment and paver patios and retaining walls. If lawn care and landscaping assistance is what you need, don’t hesitate to call North County Landscaping today.

If you enjoy getting out and digging in the dirt yourself, Greener Gardens can provide everything you need from the roots up! It is now opening for the season. Purol is just starting her fourth season owning and managing the garden center. Her goal is to offer unique and quality plants to everyone from the experienced gardener to those who don’t think they can ever have a green thumb. Purol prides herself on growing as naturally as possible, avoiding the use of harsh chemical treatments.

Greener Gardens provides visuals and plant care information. Purol and her experienced employee, Johanna Beebe, love to spend time talking about gardening! They will help customers plan new gardens and add to and maintain existing landscapes.

Greener Gardens offers mulch (natural, black, red and brown), compost, quality topsoil, stone, trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals. It now carries pottery, bird houses and planters, all hand-crafted by local artists. Purol’s children, Jacob and Ella, even enjoy contributing by raising chickens and selling their farm fresh brown eggs at Greener Gardens.

North County Landscaping and Greener Gardens have always worked together, complimenting each other’s separate businesses. Together, they will continue to offer the community everything it needs to make gardens and yards more beautiful.
