Valley Historical Society bake sale set for today

The Valley Historical Society will hold a bake sale this Sunday at the Sinclairville Fire Hall beginning at 11a.m. There will be a variety of baked goods for sale and all proceeds will go to supporting the needs of the museum and to this year’s Sinclairville History Fair.

Brocton Post 434 Auxiliary to host Chicken & Ribs BBQ

The Brocton Post 434 Auxiliary will hold a Chicken & Ribs BBQ at the Brocton Legion, 110 W. Main St., Brocton, on Sunday at noon till sold out. Pre-sale tickets are available at the post for $9.50 presale and $10 at the door the day of the BBQ. Please pick up presale dinners by 1 pm. Proceeds to benefit community projects!

Children’s Chorale to hold open rehearsals Tuesday

The Chautauqua Children’s Chorale, an ensemble-in-residence at the SUNY Fredonia School of Music, will be having open rehearsals for any third through 11th grade students interested in singing on Tuesday, April 29.

The Junior Chorale (3-6 grades) will rehearse from 5-6 p.m., and the Concert Chorale (6-12 grades) will rehearse from 6:15-8:15 p.m. in room 1024 Mason Hall. Parents are welcome to attend as well.

There will be a parent representative at both rehearsals to meet with parents and provide information about the choirs. Call Marjorie Bohn at 997-5653 or Patty Westley at 397-9385 to RSVP or inquire further.

Walking trails in Westfield

There are five measured walking trails in the Village of Westfield. They are pictured on signs in Moore Park and the Welch Field. The trails are marked with color coded signs. Maps are also available at the Village of Westfield window in the Eason Hall.
