Chicken and Biscuit Dinner on Wednesday to benefit food pantries

The annual Chicken and Biscuit Dinner will be held on Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Hall, 11 Center St., Forestville from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost of the dinner remains at $8 per person for adults and $4 for children.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Forestville and Silver Creek food pantries. Members of the community, volunteers at the Forestville food pantry and parishioners of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish are looking forward to meeting and serving the public for this worthwhile cause.

St. Rose is well-known for this dinner which will include chicken in cream sauce over homemade buttermilk biscuits, fresh green salad, mixed vegetables, cranberry sauce, homemade desserts and coffee. The chicken in sauce is prepared by Jeff from the Colony Restaurant and desserts are prepared by community members. The atmosphere of friendship is created by all who work on this event.
