Benefit: Ready to jam for worthy cause
In the photo provided to the OBSERVER on Monday’s front page, 2-year-old Isabella Crowell looks as if she is ready to rock n’ roll. Come Saturday, you can bet she will be dancing.
That evening, a benefit will take place for the area toddler who is battling a rare childhood cancer at the Dunkirk Moose on Lake Shore Drive West. “She loves to dance,” said Rebecca Schafer, Isabella’s mom. “She will probably have a blast.”
Cancer, many of us know first hand, is a cruel disease. Far too many of us have been impacted it.
From 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Moose, however, many will celebrate Isabella’s fight though she still has regular check-ups. Besides music from a band Musicians Against Cancer and Beggars Best, there is also a chicken and ribs barbecue dinner as well as a silent auction.
Funds raised assist in the family’s ongoing medical costs.
Tickets are $15 presale and $20 at the door. Call 969-0236, 785-0798 or 969-0226 for tickets or more information.
You know Isabella will rockin’.
