Mr. and Mrs. Mark D. Hurley

Jane (Rusch) Beatty and Mark D. Hurley were united in marriage during a double-ring candlelight ceremony that began at 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2013. The destination wedding ceremony was held at the Hilton Suites in the French Quarter, New Orleans, La. Samantha McGovern officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Rusch of Dunkirk. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hurley of Henderson, Nev.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin, strapless wedding dress with a tiara headpiece and carried a mixed bouquet of flowers.

The bride’s daughter, Kristine Beatty of Dunkirk, served as maid of honor. The groom’s son, Mark D.J. Hurley of Holland, Mich., served as best man. The couple’s combined children: Nicole Beatty of Cleveland, Ohio, Alisha Beatty of Manhattan, N.Y., Kayla Beatty of Sandusky, Ohio, Courtney Hurley of Nederland, Colo., Nicole Hurley of Las Vegas, Nev., and Brianna (Hurley) Boven of Nederland, Colo., attended the bride and groom. Grandson, Jayden Von Gall of Nederland, Colo., served as ring bearer.

An array of colorful chiffon cocktail length dresses were worn by the bride’s attendants with fresh flowers and wrist corsages while the men in attendance wore coordinating tuxedos and boutonnieres.

Courtney Hurley played the bridal procession “Canon in D” on violin. During the ceremony, Alisha Beatty on guitar and vocals and Kayla Beatty on vocals performed a duet, “Lucky in Love.” Nicole Hurley and Brianna (Hurley) Boven read from scripture. Nicole Beatty, played “Moondance” on flute during the “lighting of the candle.” The recessional, “I’m Yours” was led by Alisha Beatty on guitar.

With fireworks over the Mississippi River as a backdrop, the exchange of vows occurred at 12:01 a.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Mark D. Hurley will now reside in their new home in Davidson, N.C. Jane Hurley is employed as a purchasing department manager for Oiles America Corp. in Concord, N.C. Mark Hurley is global sales director for Truck-Lite Co., Inc., headquartered in Falconer.
