CASAC training on the adolescent brain and gambling Friday

JAMESTOWN – “The Adolescent Brain and Gam-bling: A Risky Partnership,” a seminar sponsored by the Chautauqua Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Council, is scheduled for Friday.

The training will be presented by Tony Bellanca, Program Gambling Preven-tion Specialist. This is a 3-hour training scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the Salvation Army, 83 S. Main St., Jamestown.

This course is suitable for those seeking professional credentialing as a (CASAC/CASAC-G); Credentialed Prevention Professional (CPP & CPP-G) or Credentialed Prevention Specialist (CPS) and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) Renewal. The 3 hours are approved by the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services CPP/CPS/CASAC-G, CPP-G (Section 1).

This course work is also recognized and approved by the Pennsylvania Certifica-tion Board through reciprocity.

The fee is $40 and pre-registration is required. Community members interested in the topic are welcome and encouraged to attend.
