Dunkirk: Art display paints success
It was an event that invited many in the community to have a brush with some young artists.
After school on Friday, an impressive display of artwork that included paintings and crafts was on exhibit at Shorewood Country Club in the town of Dunkirk. That art was the work of Dunkirk High School students.
More than 100 items were on display and included refreshments and live music by Alex Pryll and Sarah Kobel. There also was a silent auction of the artwork of seniors Thomas Logan, Alyssa Loveland and Benita Kelsey.
At least 300 people – and probably more – were in attendance for the four-hour event.
It was a proud moment for the attendees, students and teachers.
