Black Knights clinch No. 4 seed in playoffs with win

LEWISTON – The Silver Creek Black Knights (6-3) closed out the regular season Thursday with an 18-6 victory over the Lewiston-Porter Lancers in a Class C high school lacrosse matchup.

With the win, the Black Knights locked up the No. 4 seed and will host the Amherst Tigers in the first round of the Class C high school lacrosse playoffs Tuesday.

Eighth-grader Chase Scanlon capped his stellar season with six goals in the victory and has 13 goals in the past two games.

Billy Brooks and Connor Gates each added four goals.

Silver Creek jumped out to a 7-0 lead over the Lancers and never looked back en route to the convincing victory.

Noah Seneca made 11 saves for the Black Knights in the win.
