Richard and Sylvia M. Pisa

Richard and Sylvia M. Pisa of Forestville renewed their vows and received a blessing on their 50th anniversary at St. Rose of Lima Church in Forestville. Richard, the son of Anthony and Mary Pisa, and Sylvia, the daughter of Theodore and Tessie Miller were married on May 16, 1964 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Silver Creek.

The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Thomas Ciolino. The attendants were Kathleen Robinson, sister of the bride and David Pagano, nephew of the groom.

Mr. Pisa retired from Gernatt Asphalt Products. Mrs. Pisa retired from banking and bookkeeping jobs and is presently employed as a bookkeeper for the Chautauqua County Fair.

Richard and Sylvia’s family include children Michelle (Kim) Gibbon of Silver Creek, Denise (Jerry) Williamson of Twinsburg, Ohio, Richard (Gail) Pisa of Tonawanda, Kathy (Ted) Wolff of Sevierville, Tenn. and Marla (Jim) Reid of Alden.

Their seven grandchildren are Jim Douglass of Atlanta, Ga., Lauren Pisa of Tonawanda, Richard (Amie) Pisa of Kenmore, Tessa Gibbon of Silver Creek, Lindsay (Kevin) VanKoughnet of Derby and Gina and Abby Williamson of Twinsburg, Ohio.

Four great-grandchildren include Cadence Pisa of Kenmore, Liam and Faith Rushford of Tonawanda and Gabriella VanKoughnet of Derby.
