Catherine J. Ullman and Ryan A. Rathsam

Catherine J. Ullman and Ryan A. Rathsam were united in marriage on December 7, 2013 at 7 p.m. in an intimate candlelight, double-ring ceremony at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. The wedding was officiated by the Rev. William Robert Carson of the Universal Life Church Monastery.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Frederick D. Ullman of Fredonia and Drs. Rosalyn P. and Lawrence A. Schenbeck of Newnan, Ga.

The groom is the son of Michael and Joelle Rathsam of Hermitage, Tenn.

The bride was escorted by her father, Frederick D. Ullman. She wore an A-lined, sleeveless white satin gown with berry trim, sequins, crystal and pearl beading, a cathedral length train, and a lace-up bodice back. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white and white pink tipped roses.

Her honor attendant was her best friend, Mrs. Stephanie Carson of Cheektowaga. Both the honor attendant and bridesmaid Ms. Lee Hillman of Waltham, Mass.,. wore sleeveless, floor-length gowns of satin, berry with white trim, with small trains.

The best man was Mr. Mark Whittenberg, best friend of the groom.

The ring bearer was Nicholas Carson, son of the matron of honor and the officiant.

A reception was held at the Prince of Wales Hotel.

The bride is a 2012 graduate of the University at Buffalo, Ph.D., a 2004 graduate of National University, MFS, a 1994 graduate of Northeastern University, B.S., and a 1991 graduate of Fredonia High School. She is currently employed by the University at Buffalo as an information security analyst.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of RIT, B.S. and a 2000 graduate of Shadle Park High School, Spokane, Wash. He is currently employed at FedEx Trade Networks as a programmer analyst.

Following a wedding journey to Disneyland, Anaheim, California, the couple is at home in Lancaster.
