School election results
Here are the results of today’s school budget elections:

Chautauqua Lake Central School — passed
Forestville Central School – passed
Gowanda Central School – passed
Silver Creek Central School – passed
Fredonia Central School – passed
Brocton Central School – passed
Ripley Central School – passed
Pine Valley Central School — passed
Dunkirk City School — passed
North Collins Central School — passed
For the Fredonia Board of Education, only nine votes separated second and third place in the school board race. Incumbent R. Thomas Hawk and former board member Daniel Ihasz won terms to two five-year seats with 482 and 456 votes, respectively, while newcomer Cristina Gegenschatz trailed at 447 votes.
For the Cassadaga Valley Board of Education, two candidates ran for one seat. Beverly LeBaron won with 227 votes. She will be the new school board member. This was a close race with David Christy receiving 193 votes.
For the Gowanda Board of Education, winning three three-year terms were Peter A. Delpriore with 326 votes, Mary Stratton with 278 votes and incumbent Mark D. Nephew with 264 votes. Joseph L. DeCarlo received 245 votes.
For the Pine Valley Board of Education, winning four three-year terms were Rex Butcher with 359 votes, Stephen Raiport with 290 votes, Montgomery Sticek with 271 votes and Angelo Graziano with 222 votes. Incumbent Patricia Krenzer won a two-year term with 220 votes. She will fill a board vacancy. Incumbents Jeffrey Chase received 199 votes, Matthew Waag received 153 votes and Michael Pease received 146 votes.
For the Dunkirk Board of Education, current board member Bridget Majka accepted a three-year term after she received the most write-in votes at 35 total. Two candidates were officially running for three seats. Majka did not actively campaign for re-election.
