Conference for rural health providers May 31
The Healthy Community Alliance is partnering with The Health Foundation for Western and Central New York to inform the community about no-cost geriatric education programs for rural health professionals.
On Saturday, the Geriatric Education for Rural Health Professionals Conference will be held at Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville. This hybrid model program includes two in-person educational conferences in a rural Western New York conference setting and online learning modules held over a six-month period.
The Health Foundation’s Geriatric Education for Rural Health Professionals Conference is offered free of charge to practicing rural health care providers in the eight counties of Western New York. Also being offered is a course and certificate for Guided Care Nursing. Participants may enroll and begin the online courses at any time throughout the two-year offering, taking as long as they need to complete the series. Start and expiration dates are Jan. 24-Jan. 24, 2016. Participants who complete the series will receive 40 nursing credits from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
