Bike safety part of June 7 event

Spring is fast approaching and shortly there will be bicyclists through Dunkirk and Fredonia. Hopefully those bicyclists are riding with the traffic flow, obeying all traffic laws, yielding to traffic when it’s appropriate, being predictable and alert, watching for parked cars and looking before they are turning.

Last year the Putnam Record Insurance Agency teamed up with numerous community partners and presented their first annual Safety Saturday. Rich Goodman from Spoke Folk educated participants on bicycle safety and the tradition will continue on June 7 at the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds Floral Hall Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Join the Putnam Record Insurance Agency and their community partners for a fun educational community event. There will be hourly giveaways, hotdogs, juice and numerous demonstrations.

For more information find them on Facebook, call 366-2744, or visit their office located at 77 E. 4th Street in Dunkirk.
