Drug raid lands three in Jamestown jail

JAMESTOWN – Three Jamestown residents are facing drug possession charges after police raided a 241 Crescent St. apartment Tuesday.

At approximately 1 p.m., investigators observed a vehicle leaving the residence immediately before they executed their search warrant.

Upon stopping the vehicle, investigators found 27-year-old Jensen Vasquez and 22-year-old Salena Hare in possession of a large quantity of heroin and cash.

Both were taken into custody and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Vasquez also had a parole violation warrant for his arrest, police said.

After the JPD SWAT team gained entry into the apartment, investigators found 25-year-old Janelle Cornelius and more heroin inside.

She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to the JPD, the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.

“We will continue to aggressively approach this issue and continue to make arrests and execute search warrants at this pace,” said Captain Robert F. Samuelson, division commander of the Jamestown Police Department.

Anyone who has information on the illegal sales of narcotics in Jamestown is asked to contact the JPD Anonymous Tip Line at 483-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
