Gowanda Police Department

Randi A. Gates, 24, of Buffalo Street was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on May 5. Police responded to the report of an alleged disturbance on a Buffalo Street sidewalk. Gates was allegedly fighting with another subject and became aggressive toward police. He was released to appear in Collins Town Court.

Seneca L. Mohawk, 27, of Bush Road was charged with criminal trespass on May 6. Police responded to a Buffalo Street residence for an alleged report of trespassing. Mohawk had been banned from this property previously by the owner. Mohawk was released on appearance tickets for Collins Town Court.

Blaine Lay, 46, of Chestnut Street was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment on May 8. Lay allegedly was sending threatening and harassing text messages to another subject. Lay then allegedly ignored police instructions to stop. Lay, who allegedly appeared intoxicated, was released to appear in Collins Town Court. Lay was arraigned in Collins Town Court and sent to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $1,000 bail.

David A. Brill, 34, of Poughkeepsie was charged on a warrant arrest on May 10. Police had previously arrested Brill in 2013 on third-degree assault, child endangerment, second-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Brill allegedly failed to appear in Persia Town Court resulting in an arrest warrant being issued. Brill was arrested by Salamanca Police Department and turned over to the Gowanda Police. Brill was arraigned in Persia Town Court and sent to the Cattaraugus County jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Eliza M. Jimerson, 19, of Brant was charged with operating a vehicle with suspended registration and operating with a permit with no licensed driver on May 10. Jimerson was found to be allegedly operating with only a driver’s permit and with a suspended registration on Buffalo Street. She was released to appear in Collins Town Court.

Carmen C. White, 18, of Perrysburg was charged on an arrest warrant on May 10. White was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for an alleged traffic violation on Buffalo Street. A computer check revealed White was wanted by the Erie County Sheriff’s Department. She was then turned over to the sheriff’s office.

Ricky W. Barber, 58, of Commercial Street was charged with petit larceny, second-degree harassment, second-degree criminal nuisance and disorderly conduct on May 14. Police responded to a Buffalo Street business for an alleged theft. Barber allegedly stole an alcoholic beverage and became involved in a physical altercation with an employee after being confronted. Barber was arraigned in Collins Town Court and sent to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $500 bail.

Eric Kendall, 38, and Tammy M. Kendall, 36, both of Sardinia were charged with petit larceny on May 22. Both subjects were residing in a village apartment and when they moved out, the pair allegedly stole a washer and dryer. An arrest warrant was issued by Collins Town Court and the pair were turned over to police by the Erie County Sheriff’s Department. Both were arraigned in Collins Town Court and released on $500 bail each.
