Benefit for Kurt Wolnik planned for June 14 at Dom Polski

On Tuesday, May 6, Kurt Wolnik’s life took an unexpected turn. As many know, Kurt “Crazy” Wolnik was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. He was airlifted to Erie County Medical Center where he underwent numerous surgeries. As a result, he is recovering at the Absolut Care facility in Westfield. Due to the extent of his injuries, he will be unable to work for an unknown period of time. To help defray the expenses that he will encounter, a benefit will be held for him on Saturday, June 14 at the Dom Polski Club, 179 Lake Shore Drive East, Dunkirk, from 1 – 8 p.m.

June 14 is known as Flag Day and isn’t it appropriate that Kurt loves to dress as “Uncle Sam.” There will be a silent auction, 50/50 raffles, and music by Zen City from 3 to 7 p.m. A special raffle item is an authentic Buffalo Bills helmet signed by Stevie Johnson.

Kurt is a dedicated volunteer for many organizations. He has participated in numerous events such as Relay for Life, Bald for Bucks, and he Scaled the Wall for Roswell. He is a cancer survivor and loves to show his support for cancer research. Kurt loves to be a part of his community.
