Donna Dunlap-Maziarz, 57, of Garland, TX died unexpectedly on May 13, 2014. A descendant of President Andrew Jackson, she was born January 19, 1957 in Charleston, SC to Ronald and Betsy Dunlap.
She was a woman of strong faith, active in the Lay Ministry of the Lutheran Church. One of the highlights of her expression of faith was a mission trip to Brazil. Donna always had a smile on her face and would help anyone in need. She also enjoyed music and was a member of the church choir and a former member of the Harmony Belles while living in Wilmington, NC.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Maziarz of Garland; two sons, Edward L. (Robyn) Thomas, III of Temple, TX; Billy (Allie) Thomas of Maggie Valley, NC; one daughter, Emily Thomas of Sherwood, OR (Craig Ledbetter of Tamarac, FL); one sister Ellen (Duane) Hall of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren Katelyn, Ellika and London; nephews Wesley, Tyler and Seth; sisters- in-law Carol (Jim) Bohn and Betty (Tony) Arcoraci of Dunkirk, NY.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on June 29th at 10AM at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1333 Beltline Rd. in Garland, TX. Memorials in her name may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
