Leon Historical Society news
Today at the Leon Historical Society, Route 62, Leon, there will be a replica of an old Stock Car and display from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Pennyroyal Race Track held races every Sunday in the 1940s and 1950s. Stop in to the Museum to hear about how the Pennyroyal Race Track started. Curator Fred Milliman and his wife Freda are the hosts for the event. Amish baked goods will be available.
On June 28, there will be a quilting bee at the Leon Historical Church. Enjoy The (English) Willow Creek Quilters Club and the Amish will quilt. Amish crafts are also planned. Refreshments will be available. Afterwards, guests can enjoy the museum. For details, call Pat the town historian at 296-5709 or email email@example.com.
The Leon Historical Museum is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May through October. Admission is free.
