Men’s Senior League Baseball
Rookies/Coughlan’s Royals 2, Mets 1
Dylan Bennett went eight full innings, allowed two hits and struck out 8 for the win. He also had two hits, including a home run in the seventh to tie the game. Jason Behnke had three hits while Brian Mason and Steve Kuzdale had hits for the Royals.
Jay Grann suffered the loss for the Mets. Ryan Lucas andRicky Carlson had hits for the losers.
Dunkirk Men’s Fastpitch
Monnies/Rookies 8, IPC 4
The Monnies/Rookies were led by Josh Jaffery who had two hits and two RBIs. Dan Synder, Jake Porpiglia and Rob Nalepa all added a hit.
Tim Wdowiasz knocked in three runs. Mike Privitera was the winning pitcher.
Big Daddy’s 3
Monnies/Rookies were led by Colton Farnham’s two hits with a home run. Matt Siracuse, Tim Wdowiasz and Jake Porpiglia also had two hits. Porpiglia had three RBIs. Nick Sliwa added a triple. Jeremy Macfee was the winning pitcher.
Bobby Pating led Big Daddy’s with two hits. Ryan Thompson, Bo Westling and Vinny Bomausto all had a hit. Bobby Honaker was the losing pitcher.
1st Ward Falcons 3
The Monnies/Rookies were led by Rick Zappie, Bob Kozlowski, Matt Siracuse and Tim Wdowiasz who all had two hits apiece. Wdowiasz was also the winning pitcher.
The Falcons were led by Matt Nickle’s triple. Dan Nickle also had a hit. Zack Sliwa picked up the loss.
Dunkirk Little League Majors
Lucky Lanes 16, First Ward Falcons 6
Daniel Muldowney (triple) and Eddie Paredes (double) each had three hits and drove home four runs to pace Lucky Lanes’ offensive attack.
Tyler Wicks chipped in with a single and a double for his first Little League hits, and Jack Lanski also notched his first hit in the majors. Troy Lanski pitched 3.2 innings for the win, striking out 12 batters and allowing just two hits. Nick Zatorski cleaned up in relief, retiring the only batter he faced for the games final out.
Marcel Carter continued his hot hitting with a single and a double, accounting for both of the Falcons base knocks.

Youth Council 1
Kam Mages had two hits and two RBIs to lead Medicor while Jarett Maslak added two doubles and one RBI. Dante Ardillo, Joey Vandette, and Alec Rush combined for an additional five hits .
Dalton Gardner and Zahi Smith led the offense for Youth Council, each recording a hit.
Alec Rush and Nick Whitfield combined for 10 strikeouts for Medicor. Justin Powell had a fine defensive play in right field.

First Annual NCCS Alumni Golf Tournament July 19
The First Annual Northern Chautauqua Catholic School Golf Tournament is set for Saturday, July 19 at Cassadaga Country Club. The tournament is being hosted by members of the NCCS Class of 2000 and will raise money for the school’s tuition assistance program. Donations for the event’s Chinese auction are still being gratefully accepted from businesses and individuals. The cost for the tournament is $65 per golfer and will be a four-person, best-ball format. Included in that cost is 18 holes of golf with a cart, a hot dog lunch at the turn and a buffet dinner after golf.
