Westfield Recreation Department plans Oct. 11 trip

The Westfield Recreation Department is planning a trip to the 20th anniversary of the Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods in Columbiana, Ohio on Oct 11. This is an opportunity to shop for holiday and traditional crafts from some of the country’s best craftspeople. There will be 200 of the country’s top craftspeople and artisans demonstrating and selling their handcrafted items, a large variety of food booths as well as live entertainment, in a charming wooded setting with graveled pathways for shopper’s convenience. Sheriff to attend Silver Creek Village Board meeting

Chautauqua County Sheriff Joseph Gerace or Undersheriff Chuck Holder will attend the next Silver Creek Village Board meeting Monday at 7 p.m. in the village hall in order to discuss a prescription drug dropoff and answer questions. The public is encouraged to attend and ask questions.

Gowanda to host public hearing

The Gowanda Village Board will host a public hearing on proposed changes to the code on Tuesday, June 17. The public hearing will take place during the regular board meeting at 7:30 p.m., at the village hall, 27 E. Main St.

Revitalize Dunkirk meeting Thursday

The monthly meeting of Revitalize Dunkirk is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 19 in the main conference room of the SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator located at 214 Central Ave in Dunkirk. The agenda will consist of reports from various committees including Leadership, Marketing, Transportation and Beautification as well as from outside organizations.

Residents and other interested persons are cordially invited to attend this meeting, share their ideas and engage in on-going projects aimed at the betterment of the community.
