Master Gardener Program hosting Evening in the Garden

JAMESTOWN – The Cornell Cooperative Exten-sion Master Gardener Program of Chautauqua County is hosting Evening in the Garden programs the third Wednesday of every month throughout the summer and would like to invite the public to the Kick-Off Party on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Demonstration Garden at the Frank Bratt Ag Center, 3542 Turner Road in Jamestown.

The evening will include a tour of the garden, a tasting of the vegetable varieties that are ready for harvest, as well as gardening demonstrations.

This year, the Master Gardeners are highlighting straw bale gardening, tea and herb gardening, pizza gardening and edible flowers, as well as testing many other interesting techniques and vegetables.

The evening will be hosted and presented by Chautauqua County Master Gardeners.

All are welcome to attend and the event is free of charge.

The mission of the Master Gardener Program is to educate and serve the community, utilizing university and research-based horticultural information. This program is administered through Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County.
