Gwen Loomis earns FMA 2014 Member of Distinction Award
The Financial Manage-ment Association, a statewide, nonprofit association for finance professionals in the habilitation and rehabilitation fields, recently named Gwen Loomis as the recipient of its 2014 Member of Distinction Award. The award recognizes an FMA member who has demonstrated ongoing leadership and service in his or her field.
Loomis serves as controller for People Inc., Western New York’s largest human services agency. She has been with the agency for nearly 30 years and has been instrumental in its success and growth. Her enthusiasm and commitment to serving the nonprofit agency and the individuals it serves has made her a role model and a mentor.
Loomis is past president of FMA Central, which is comprised of professionals from Western New York to Syracuse. Sought after for her experience and expertise, she has also served on a variety of committees that shape financial regulation in the habilitation and rehabilitation fields in New York state.
Loomis resides in Fredonia with her family.
