Artone LLC to relocate, add new product line

JAMESTOWN – Artone LLC will be celebrating its 40th year of operations in Chautauqua County this year. Its successful path and skilled workforce have led it to purchase and renovate a larger facility, and add new jobs to the area. This real estate purchase, at 1089 Allen St., Jamestown, was essential for the growth of the company. There was a need to purchase this building for efficiency, work-flow capabilities and future growth. It has also recently added a new manufacturing line from out of state.

SteelGrain is a new division of Artone LLC focused on the Health Care market. Bob Bennington is the original inventor of the ‘steel chair with a wood grain look.’ Bob was brought to Jamestown as a consultant to assist in the start-up of SteelGrain. SteelGrain manufactures steel chairs, which are sold by CoolTree. CoolTree is the sales and marketing arm for all healthcare products.

Artone LLC was founded in 1974, and has become a world class supplier of comprehensive commercial and institutional furniture solutions. Its customers demand high quality, custom designed case goods and Artone delivers the best combination of progressive style and turnkey products for the hospitality, store fixture, health care and commercial markets. It has the flexibility to develop everything from flat panel production to completed case goods using materials such as laminates, woods, veneers, edge treatments, plastics, stone products and metals; and the capacity to produce these items quickly and in quantity. Contract Furniture Installation (CFI), a division of Artone, is the installation arm for all products manufactured at Artone. The company offers complete quality service, from design to installation, of all their products.

Artone LLC was awarded a $300,000 AL Tech loan by the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency to assist in the purchase of their new location.

Carol Rasmussen, CCIDA mentioned, “It’s a pleasure to witness such a stable and vibrant company expand, create jobs, and introduce a new product in the county.”

It plans to complete the move from their current facility on 107 Institute St. in Jamestown to its new facility on Allen Street in July 2014.

“I applaud the entire management team at Artone LLC on their success in expanding business operations,” said Chautauqua County Executive Vince Horrigan. “My tour of their new facility and first hand observation of the welders and machine operators in the new product manufacturing line brought a huge sense of excitement in the growth of a premier Chautauqua County business. Chautauqua County is on the move!”

The owners of Artone LLC and all divisions are President Michael Calimeri, Vice President Sebastian Calimeri and Mark Arnold of Albion Investors.

Michael and Sebastian Calimeri stated, “We would like to thank the entire community for the support we have received. We are extremely excited to be celebrating our 40th year in business and moving into a State of the Art facility! This will be a tremendous opportunity for Artone, its divisions, employees and the community!”
