Hans James Glapa

Hans James Glapa, 38, of Big Island Hawaii, USA went peacefully to God on June 21, 2014.

He was born Nov. 13, 1975 in Dunkirk, the son of James and Cheryl (Zepp) Glapa of Brocton, NY.

Hans was a graduate of Brocton High School and attended Mohawk Valley College for criminal justice.

He traveled extensively and lived in many places along the eastern seaboard before moving to Colorado and finally for the last five years, Hawaii, the one place he felt was paradise.

A carpenter by trade, he was an accomplished guitar player and a member of the World of Magicians.

Survivors include his best friend and brother, Mark (Brooks) Glapa; nephews Adam and Alex; nieces Jamy and Cassidy; his Aunt Lisa (Richard) Cieslewicz of Dunkirk and Aunt Jeannie Bane of Buffalo; Uncle John Glapa of Texas and Uncle E. John Mulville; and cousins Tyler and Clayton Cieslewicz and Mathew Mulville.

Hans was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Mary Glapa, Ed-ward “Scrappy” and Loretta Mulville, Norbert Zepp Sr. and Uncle Norbert Zepp Jr.

A memorial celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
