- GERRY – On Sunday around 3 a.m., Sheriff’s patrol officers stopped a speeding motorist on Route 60.
Stephanie L. Lodestro, 24, of Falconer was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Lodestro was taken into custody and charged with driving while intoxicated, and speeding. She was later released and will appear in Gerry Town Court to answer to the charges at a later date.
RIPLEY – Joseph F. Kubasik Jr., 58, of Sherman was charged with having no brake lights, failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Tuesday. Deputies stopped Kubasik’s vehicle on Route 76 at 7:12 p.m., for allegedly having only one functional brake light and allegedly failing to keep right.
It was found that Kubasik was allegedly intoxicated and his license was allegedly revoked. He was released to appear in Ripley Town Court at a later date.

SOUTH DAYTON – On June 25, village of South Dayton officials contacted the Collins Barracks after noticing damaged village property. Two exterior light fixtures located on the front of the village hall were damaged as well as a village park picnic table.
Troopers conducting neighborhood interviews were able to identify a suspect with the aid of local business surveillance cameras.
Benjamin W. Burroughs, 18, of South Dayton was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. He is scheduled to appear in village court later in the month.
