County charter commission to meet

There will be an organizational meeting of the Chautauqua County Charter and Administrative Code Review Commission on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Room 331, Gerace Office Building, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville.

As directed by Section 1.05 of the Chautauqua County Charter, a Charter and Administrative Code Review Commission has been established to review and make recommendations to the County Executive and Legislature on amendments, additions or revisions to the County Charter and administrative Code.

Fredonia swimming activities canceled indefinitely

All swimming activities through the Fredonia-Pomfret Recreation Department’s programming are suspended until further notice due to continuing maintenance problems in the pool area at Fredonia High School.

Any questions can be directed to the office of Tom Battaglia, recreation department director, at 679-2311. Be sure to “like” the Fredonia-Pomfret Recreation Department’s Facebook page, where information on programming is updated on a daily basis.

Brocton library hosting local author

Ahira Hall Memorial Library in Brocton will be hosting local author Brett W. Gould Wednesday, July 9 at 6 p.m. Copies of his book, “Comeback Bringing” will be available for purchase.

“If you’ve known you were meant for more, but not been able to put your finger on what more is, this book will walk you straight into the answer,” according to Amazon. For more information call the Library at 792-9418.

Wreck & Roll wrestling tickets still available

Maximum Force Wrestling tickets at Wreck and Roll in Memorial Park are still available. Tickets may be purchased at Matt’s News and One Stop Food Mart. Tickets will also be for sale at the gate today. Tickets are only $15.

Enjoy two hours of MFW and see the likes of Rico Cruz, Primal Warpath, the Bone Crushers and WWE Legend Tatanka and WWE Hall of Famer Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Only those with tickets will be able to get autographs. Call 366-9886 with any questions.
