Solar LEDs now light up Dunkirk’s Boardwalk
ProQuip America has managed to save, once again, thousands of dollars for taxpayers in Dunkirk. ProQuip America officially installed the first Solar LED lights for the city and county.
Sam Tavernese, managing director of ProQuip commented, “We are excited to not only have our business in Dunkirk, but to be able to have our products actually showcased using the sun! Sun-powered lights on the boardwalk is just a start! Today, we saved energy, the environment, and created jobs in the community all at the same time. We look forward to helping other businesses in the community and around the area, in their battle to save money on electrical costs – with our products!”
ProQuip America stated from the beginning it had two goals when it opened its office over a year ago in Dunkirk; to help the environment and create jobs. ProQuip America products are found throughout the county, including Dunkirk City Hall. Mayor Anthony J. Dolce was extremely supportive and instrumental in setting up ProQuip America through the incubator program, created and managed by the State University of New York at Fredonia.
ProQuip America donated the Solar LED for the Boardwalk and the installation was donated by local company, BECC Electric. This is a great partnership in the development and growth of the existing energy saving programs, that will save the community’s taxpayers and businesses on energy costs.
