Benefit for Sue Ippolito set for Sunday
Cancer is a disease that is affecting more and more people on a daily basis. Sue Ippolito, a life-long resident of the Dunkirk-Fredonia area, was diagnosed in April 2013 with a rare form of cancer called multiple myeloma. Currently there is not a cure for this type of cancer.
On Sunday, there will be a chicken barbecue held in her honor. The barbecue will be held at the First Ward Falcon Club in Dunkirk from noon to 5 p.m. at the cost of $10 per dinner. Pre-sale tickets and take-outs will be available. The benefit will also feature a silent auction, 50/50 drawings and prize raffles. Proceeds from the effort will help Sue defray her mounting medical expenses.
Her friends and family are asking for help to make this benefit a success. They are looking for gift baskets, gift certificates and gift cards. Any donation, no matter how big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
Contact Pam Allessi at 679-1978, Brittany Ludemann at 640-7239 or Gene Tarnowski at 366-7292 to pick up donations or for questions.
Any checks can be made payable to: The benefit for Susan Ippolito Inner Lakes Credit Union.
