Todd M. Iskra
Todd M. Iskra, age 43, of Dunkirk, NY died at his residence on Wednesday, July 16, 2014. He was born in Dunkirk on April 27, 1971, the son of Beverly J. (Morrison)
Iskra of Dunkirk and the late Frank A. Iskra, who died Sept. 22, 1999.Todd was employed as a steward at the Dunkirk Lakeside Club. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend who will be dearly missed by all. A void now filled with memories. Todd rooted for the Red Sox, the Dolphins, the Sabres and whoever played the Yankees. He could talk intelligently about a variety of subjects and would listen intently if an ear was needed. An avid cook, he delighted in discovering new recipes. He had a passion for music at a young age and was a bass player who studied the greats. He was a wonderful soul who left us too early. We hope you’re doing the “Dance of Eternity”: “A blinding light comes into view, An old soul exchanged for a new; Familiar voice comes shining through, We’ll meet again, my friend – Someday Soon.” In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Timothy (Terri) Iskra of Silver Creek, NY; his nephew, Nicholas Iskra and his niece, Victoria Iskra. Aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends survive. Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Home Inc. Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Humane Society, SPCA or to the charity of one’s choice.
