Two charged for allegedly stealing aluminum wire
WESTFIELD – Two Ripley men have both been charged with fourth-degree grand larceny after allegedly stealing a large spool of aluminum wire from Forest Park in Westfield.
According to the Chau-tauqua County Sheriff’s Office, on July 4, officers conducted an investigation into the larceny of the wire that was going to be used for an upcoming project. Upon further investigation, it was found that Matthew Jaynes, 33, and Leonard Erhard, 36, allegedly stole the wire before the project was started.
Both men will appear in Westfield Town Court at a later date.
