4-H Market Sale will mark 50 years Friday

This Friday, the Cornell Cooperative Extension Chautauqua County’s 4-H Market Animal Sale is staged to celebrate a milestone in the Youth Development Program.

Buyers from previous years have been invited to share their memories and join the celebration again.

At noon, the gavel will pound and the bidding will begin on the 50th Annual Market Sale at the Chautauqua County Fair in the Warren K. Brown Show Arena. The order of the sale is hog, goat, chicken, lamb and beef.

The 4-H Youth Development Program is one of many programs offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County. CCE-Chautauqua is a community based educational organization, affiliated with Cornell University, Chautauqua County Government, the NYS SUNY system, and the federal government through the United States Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
