Westfield Recreation Department coming events
WESTFIELD – On Aug. 6, the KoKoMo Band will present their tropical looks and sounds from the ’50s through the ’70s.
Concerts are held Wednesdays in Moore Park. Performances run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In case of rain, the concerts will be held at the Absolut at Westfield Health Care Center, 26 Cass St.
The annual Triathlon will be held Friday, Aug. 8, at the Welch Field, Union St., Westfield. The pool will be closed from 1 to 5 p.m. that day. Call 326-4441 or register at the pool office to participate.
The Tour of Chautauqua Bike Ride starts and ends at Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield on Saturday, Aug 9. Mass start at 9 a.m. Water and refreshment stops and sag wagon services are provided. Helmets are required. Recreational tours of courses of 25, 40, 62, 75 and 100 miles are offered, with a meal at the finish. The fee is $20 and includes a Tour of Chautauqua water bottle. The annual Welch Field Invitational Swim Meet will be held Saturday, Aug. 16 at Welch Field, beginning at 9 a.m.

Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods trip to Columbiana, Ohio. Shop for holiday and traditional crafts from some of the country’s best craftspeople. Two hundred of the country’s top craftspeople and artisans will demonstrate and sell their handcrafted items.
