Westfield BOE seat vacant

WESTFIELD – The Westfield Board of Education is seeking interested residents of the school district to fill a vacant seat.

Former President Jeff Greabell resigned for the 2014-15 school year, and former Vice-President Steve Cockram has taken his place.

“We certainly will miss him,” Cockram said. “He was a very valuable member of our team.”

Interested candidates for a board member seat must be a U.S Citizen, at least 18 years old and be able to read and write. Anyone who would like to be considered for the vacancy should contact Superintendent David Davison by Aug. 8 at 326-2151 ext. 217.

Cockram took over the president’s seat during July’s reorganizational meeting.

“Jeff wanted to spend more time with his family,” he said. “We wish him the best of luck.”
