21 Brix Winery wins big, celebrates Sippin’ Sundays
PORTLAND – Good news is in the air at 21 Brix Winery! Recent competition results have been announced and the winery will be adding more medals to its ever-growing collection. Judges from the Long Beach Grand Cru International Wine Competition in California recently announced that Ella’s White and Ellatawba both won Double Gold medals as well as being selected as Best in Class for the respective varietals. Gold medals were also given to Ella’s Red, Marquis and 21 Brix Winery’s Vidal Ice Wine.
Prior to receiving the results from the Long Beach Grand Cru competition, 21 Brix Winery was also informed that its Ella’s White, Ella’s Red and Raspberry wine were all given the Chairman’s Award/Unanimous Gold medals in the Riverside Wine Competition. The results from the Oakland Community College Great Lakes Great Wines competition also awarded Ella’s White as a Double Gold winner and the Vidal Ice Wine and Noiret Love Red were gold medal winners as well.

Live music will begin each Sunday at 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., so make sure to bring some snack foods and enjoy a glass of wine or a wine slushie on the porch or in the tasting room. The line-up for the music series includes the LTM Trio (Aug. 3), Dave Callaghan and Uptime Jazz (Aug. 10), Marshall Seddon (Aug. 17), Heard of Buffalo Trio (Aug. 24) and Alex Kates (Aug. 31).
