Residents and former residents of the Nashville, NY, area reunite
The 44th annual Nashville (NY) picnic was held in July at the Russell Joy Park in Fredonia. Thirty-one former and present residents of the Nashville area attended. Host and hostess Robert and Winnie Mount of Maryland welcomed the guests. Guests traveled from Maryland, Kentucky, and various locations throughout western New York. Guests enjoyed a day of sharing food and memories of early life in Nashville. Guests also enjoyed looking at the album with photos of previous reunions and also a collection of Forestville Central School yearbooks. Myrna Moss of South Dayton brought an album she is working on with photos and historical information about Nashville.
Fred Holdridge of Nashville and Pastor of the Collins Center United Methodist Church gave the invocation. Following the meal, Roxanne Fisk of Fredonia and Moss conducted the annual auction of a variety of items donated by the guests. Joanne Goetz of Fredonia assisted with the auction.
The 45th reunion is scheduled for July 2015 and will be held at the home of Fred and JoAnne Holdridge in Nashville. All those who live in or near Nashville or who previously lived there are always welcome and encouraged to attend.
