Fredonia HS graduate earns master’s degree in strategic studies

Col. Molly S. McGlaughlin has graduated from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pa., and earned a master’s degree in strategic studies. The college is the Army’s senior educational institution.

The 10-month curriculum of the Army’s senior officer school is designed to prepare and train officers of all the U.S. military branches of service, foreign military officers, as well as senior civilian officials of federal agencies, to serve in top-level command and staff positions with the U.S. Armed Forces worldwide.

She is currently serving as commander with the 151st Theater Information Operations Group, Fort Totten, N.Y. She has served in the military for 28 years.

McGlaughlin is the daughter of George W. McGlaughlin of Williamsville, N.Y. and mother of Joshua M. and Jordan M. Seim of Marion, Mass.

She is a 1985 graduate of Fredonia High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 1989 from Norwich University, Military College of Vermont, Northfield, Vt.
