The women will golf again next Wednesday. All golfers are asked to meet at 9 a.m., with tee-off at 9:30 a.m.

The season will be extended one week, as there will also be golf on Sept. 3, which will be the “Grand Finale Golf.” The league is scheduled to meet at Shorewood Country Club for their final after-golf luncheon. In the event of inclement weather, the women should meet at Shorewood at 1 p.m. A signup sheet has been posted at the clubhouse.

Tournaments Scheduled

for Shorewood Country Club

Dates for the annual H.K. Williams golf tournament and the Quad Invitational have been announced.

The H.K. Williams Tournament will be held Aug. 29-31 while the Quad Invitational will be held Sept. 5-7.

Gowanda Softball

Tournament Set for Sept. 6

The 16th annual Gowanda Men’s SlowPitch Softball Tournament will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Hitters will start with a 2-1 count and the entry fee is $100. There will also be prizes and awards for each participating team.

Golf Trip Meeting Canceled

A meeting that was to be held Sunday, Aug. 24, for the Wax Cup golf trip to Southern Pines, NC, at the Dunkirk Falcon Club has been canceled.

One-Pitch Slow Pitch

Softball Tournament

The Annual Westfield One-Pitch Slow Pitch Softball Tournament will be held Aug. 23 in Westfield on the softball fields at NorthLake, Smith and Westfield School. Entry fees must be in by today.

The tournament will be a double elimination if there are more than 12 teams and a round robin format if there are 12 teams or less. This is a one-pitch slow pitch format with each batter starting with a 3-2 count. The entry fee is $250 per team. A payout based on 16 teams is $1,000 for first, $500 for second and $250 for third.

Any proceeds will go to the Woody Keyser fund.
