Nina Tenamore, 84, of Dunkirk died Sunday afternoon (Aug. 24, 2014) at home.
She was born Feb. 11, 1930 in Silver Creek, the daughter of the late Peter and Angeline (Zappie) Genovese.
A lifelong resident of Dunkirk, Mrs. Tenamore had been employed at the Vineyard Motel for many years.
She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church and an avid bingo player.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosalind (David) Meegan and Roxanne Tenamore, both of Dunkirk; one son, Russell V. (Kathy) Tenamore of Dunkirk; one sister, Margaret Villifranca of Silver Creek; two brothers, Anthony (Dorothy) Genovese of Angola and Peter (Judith) Genovese of Hamburg; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Tenamore, who died Feb. 25, 2008; three sisters, Mary Campaniga, Millie Greco and Clara DiMico; and three brothers, Ralph, Patsy and Charlie Genovese.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock in Holy Trinity Church. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Holy Spirit Columbarium of St. Mary’s Cemetery.
