Cattaraugus shelter receives donation

CATTARAUGUS – Cattaraugus Village Mayor Eric Pritchard and volunteers from Saving Grace Outreach (Trading Post South) accepted a check from United Way of Cattaraugus County, Inc. staff and board recently. UW Board Member Thomas Lecceadone noted that, “It is important for our United Way to have an impact in all of Cattaraugus County, especially in underserved outlying areas like the village of Cattaraugus.”

“The funding will allow Saving Grace to open our two homeless housing apartments by fall of this year,” stated Elizabeth O’Neill, shelter director. “The project has been in development for almost four years, with the final barrier to opening being resolved through this donation from United Way. We sincerely thank United Way of Cattaraugus County for their support.”
