Panama takes care of Pine Valley in three

SOUTH DAYTON – Brittany Lenart had eight kills, two blocks and four points as Panama (3-0) cruised to a 25-12, 25-18, 25-10, three-set sweep of Pine Valley (0-2) on Tuesday, during non-league girls volleyball action.

Also for Panama, Madalyn Bowen had six kills, six points and two aces while Taylor Bowen chipped in 16 assists, eight points and two aces. Quinn Payne charted 16 points, including nine aces, in helping Panama stay unbeaten.

For Pine Valley, Jessica Pillard had six assists, three kills and two digs while Kaleigh Brunswick chipped in two kills, a dig and an ace.

BEMUS POINT – Hope Zielinski delivered 10 digs and six aces while Kylee Braymiller added five kills, 10 digs and three aces to help lead the Cassadaga Valley Lady Cougars (1-1) past non-league foe Maple Grove (0-1), 25-18, 25-17, 20-25, 25-20.

Meghan Ames produced five kills, Ashley Repine four kills and Alyssa Hahn 11 assists and five aces for the winners.

The Lady Red Dragons were led by Paige Hamond’s three kills, four points and three digs. Olivia Pembridge added 11 points, one kill and three digs while Maddy Russo had seven points and four digs in a losing effort.
